TDC Buttonwillow 2/21/10

Kickin off the first REAL post with some rad material! Oh man what a sick event. Everyone from norcal ripped up the track, we all represented well. Congratulations to Team Switchblade who won the event, Team Miley Does Dallas for 2nd, and Team Wolfreign and Team #; for just being cool. Unfortunately since Team Jameson sucks and we are in our infant stages, we did not compete. But I ran the open drift session and had mad fun. It was my first time at Buttonwillow and towing the corolla to an event. The layout was amazing. I had a little trouble with blowing up tires real fast and a bad ground on my fuel pump but otherwise the people were so chill and I had the best time I have ever had at a track. I got to meet Antonio from Motormavens! Hopefully I make it onto his media coverage pt2. Lots of coverage at this event though, thank you to Motormavens, Cannibeat, photographer Larry Chen, and photographers from various forums for the pictures.

Some pictures of me on the track thanks to Larry Chen:

John was also there for support, unfortunately he couldn't drive the event but he still brought along his car:

Man hella people JOCKINNNN that stance! Now we just gotta get him to drift the next event and represent team JAMESON.

Here is a quick epic vid my cousin Wes made of the event. He rented an HD camera and yeah its shaky but I think it adds to the whole grassroots drifting event effect. I love this video, it really represents the event's hectic fun and good vibes felt that day:

and of course, MotorMavens!

Thanks to my friends Dennis, Jonathan, John, Wes, and my family who helped me get ready and supported me for this event. Shoutout to Gaylord, Chris, Darius, Herb, who were all destroying the track, and Tomasz and the Daly City crew who helped fix my car, and Ryan Kado the kid prodigy for tips on tires. Also Performance Options (Joey) and Vex Motorsports (Danny) and Illegal Garage (Max) who helped me and my little corolla get ready for the event.

A bit on who we are....PT1.

Hey guys. We are teamJAMESON//DTF from San Jose, CA. We aren't very good at drifting, but we hope to change that this year. But above all we want to have FUN. We aren't really big on a pretentious team mentality, this blog is mostly about a trio of friends that enjoy drifting that isn't serious. This blog has been started to document OUR experiences in events and builds. Hope you enjoy.

...Stay tuned for a short intro of our members!
